Sachin Tendulkar is celebrating his marriage anniversary today with his wife Anjali. They both have been married for the past 26 years. Anjali was a doctor and Sachin himself has mentioned the sacrifices that Anjali had to make for his career to flourish. Sachin and Anjali have always set goals for couples in India. How could one forget Sachin's emotional speech and Anjali's teary response in 2013 when Sachin retired from cricket. 

To celebrate the 26 years of their marriage, Sachin's old friend and Former Indian batsman, Vinod Kambli shared an old image of the couple on his Twitter. Twitteratis were in awe when they saw the picture. Kambli wrote: "Happy wedding anniversary to my dearest @sachin_rt and Anjali. Two of the most lovely people. Wish you both lots of happiness and may God bless always!"

Here is an excerpt from Sachin's 2013 emotional farewell speech where he spoke about his and Anjali's relationship:

"The most beautiful thing happened to me in 1990 when I met my wife, Anjali. Those were special years and it has continued and will always continue that way. I know Anjali, being a doctor; there was a wonderful career in front of her. When we decided to have a family, Anjali took the initiative to step back and say that 'you continue with your cricket and I will take the responsibility of the family'.

Without that, I don't think I would have been able to play cricket freely and without stress. Thanks for bearing with all my fuss and all my frustrations, and all sorts of rubbish that I have spoken. Thanks for bearing with me and always staying by my side through all the ups and downs."
