India established a mammoth target of 515 runs for Bangladesh. The hosts scored 376 runs in their first innings, while Bangladesh was dismissed for just 149 runs. In their second innings, India declared at 287 runs, and Bangladesh could only reach 234 runs.

Team India is scheduled to face Bangladesh in two Tests, with IND vs BAN 2nd Test match taking place from September 27 to October 1 at Kanpur's Green Park Stadium. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that the same squad will be retained for the second Test.
