Former Indian Cricket Captain MS Dhoni's Brand Value Still Strong After Retirement

T20 World Cup: Mahendra Singh Dhoni's brand value has increased since he retired from international cricket in 2020. Dhoni was endorsing around 25 brands in early 2020.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni Brand Value: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a 15-member Indian squad for the T20 World Cup. The BCCI has also entrusted former captain, MS Dhoni, with a big responsibility for the T20 World Cup. The BCCI has appointed former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni as the mentor for Team India during theT20 World Cup 2021.

It is quite interesting to see that Dhoni's brand value has not declined even after retirement from international cricket.

Since his retirement back in 2020, Mahendra Singh Dhoni's brand value has gone up. Dhoni was endorsing around 25 brands in early 2020. Currently, the former captain is endorsing around 35 brands, i.e. 10 more brands have been added to his name. Mahendra Singh Dhoni's annual employment is close to Rs 200 crore and he has to devote 70 to 80 days a year for different brands.

Increase in brand value

Mahendra Singh Dhoni's friend and manager Mihir Diwakar told ABP News that many start-up companies have signed up with Dhoni. Evidently, his brand popularity continues to rise. That is why brands are always eager to sign Dhoni as their brand ambassador.

Dhoni will re-enter the field for Team India. Dhoni will be the mentor for the Indian team in the T20 World Cup. His role and advice will be crucial for Virat Kohli, especially when the team will be playing under pressure. MS Dhoni is considered the lucky charm for Team India. We will have to wait until November to witness whether Captain Cool will be able to assist Team India to another World Cup victory.
