England Vs Sri Lanka 2nd Test: It has truly been Gus Atkinson's day and what a cricketing time period the England fast bowler is enjoing as of late. The English righ-arm pacer, who had not made his Test debut until July 2024, has now his name etched on the honour board of the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground.

Gus Atkinson's 7-wicket haul against West Indies saw him etch his name in the bowler's section of the famous board, and today, with a magnificent ton against Sri Lanka in the 2nd Test match, he now gets his name written in the batter's section as well.

The 26-year-old reached the triple figures with a magnificent boundary down the ground and it took him merely 103 balls to register his maiden first-class ton. What makes it even more significant is that he attained the feat by batting at number 8, under pressure, when England were looking like getting bowled out under 350.
