Will England Be Bowled Out On Day 5 Against NZ? Tim Southee Feels So

England were 54/1 in 29 overs at 8 pm IST with Sibly and Crawley at the crease. They needed 219 more to win in 46 overs while NZ needs 9 more wickets. Read the full story below.

London: In the ongoing first Test match between England and New Zealand, pacer Tim Southee believes that New Zealand will have a chance on Day 5 to bowl out England. However, during the second session's play on Day 5, nothing looked certain as England have just lost one wicket, that of centurion Rory Burns. Looking at the batting lineup that England has, it is looking highly unlikely that New Zealand would be able to bowl England out as predicted by Southee.

"It's a couple of sessions and there's a Test victory on the line, I have no doubt that all of us will be pushing as hard as we can and just see that we get through. There's nothing guaranteed if you bring that attitude but without a doubt we'll certainly be bringing that, that's for sure," said Southee who picked 6 wickets in the first innings.

"With the wicket of Joe Root from the first ball of the day, we probably couldn't ask for a better start," Southee said. "It was a dream start to take those early wickets but we knew there was going to be a counterpunch from England at some stage, they're too good a side just to roll over."

"Losing yesterday doesn't help, but there's 98 overs tomorrow (Sunday) and it's always great to turn up on the last day with all results possible. Who knows what may happen but it's great to be in a position where we can push on. You play to win Test matches for your country and a Test win at Lord's would be pretty special, so I'd imagine we'll chat overnight, get together as a side and come up with a plan for day five," said Southee.
