Cricket, India-Pakistan take back stage, humanity wins in Kohli-Afridi's interaction
New Delhi: Gautam Gambhir may not want to share pleasantries with Shahid Afridi but his team mate and India captain Virat Kohli has a warm relation with the 'boom boom' both on and off the field. It was evident when the former Pakistan captain thanked Kohli for donating a signed bat for his charity foundation and the Indian skipper returned the favour.
In a fine gesture Virat decided to donate is bat to Afridi’s foundation in order help it grow.
In response to Kohli's gesture, Shahid Afridi expressed gratitude to Virat Kohli for donating his bat for the Shahid Afridi Foundation.
"Thank you @imVkohli for your kind gesture in support of @SAFoundationN. Friends & supporters like you ensure #HopeNotOut for everyone," Afridi wrote on his twitter handle, attaching a picture of the bat.

Kohli was prompt in response. In a display of brotherhood, Kohli wished luck to Afridi and his organization.

Earlier, Kohli had also given his jersey to Afridi, when the latter retired from international cricket
The Shahid Afridi Foundation that goes on with the tagline 'helping children make a better world' and with a motto of 'Hope-Not Out', is a nonprofit organization run by the international cricketer. The aim of the organisation is to provide healthcare, education and sports facilities in Pakistan and across the world.
The shirt, which fetched Rs 3 lakhs at an auction in London, had a message from the Team India captain, saying, "To Shahid Bhai, best wishes, always a pleasure playing against you".
