Vaccine Maitri: Chris Gayle Thanks PM Modi For Donating Covid Vaccines To Jamaica
West Indies cricketer Christopher Henry Gayle has thanked the government of India and PM Modi for the donation of Covid-19 vaccine to his country, Jamaica.
Government of India's Vaccine Maitri global initiative is gaining momentum. West Indies cricketer, Christopher Henry Gayle has thanked the Prime Minister Modi and the Government of India for donating the vaccine to his home country, Jamaica. Gayle put out this message in a video which is making rounds.
In the video, Gayle is heard saying, "Hon'ble PM of India and the people of India, the government of India, I want to thank you for your donation of vaccine to Jamaica, I appreciate it. Thank you so much. India, I will see you soon."

Chris Gayle is going to play in the Indian Premier League which is set to begin from April 9 2021, thus, he concluded his video by saying that he will see India soon. He will be seen in the Pujab Kings side in the IPL.
The 'Vaccine Maitri' initiative of the Indian government is a global goodwill generating program. In the initiative, India is providing the Covid-19 vaccine to a lot of nations around the world, including the African as well as Carribean nations.
“From the very beginning, India has always believed that the pandemic threatens the entire humanity and that the rightful response would be a collective one,” India's Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said in the parliament.
“Caribbean to the Pacific Islands, the message has been clear that the Prime Minister of India not only has the willingness to engage them personally, but to back that up with concrete development programmes. This outlook of human-centric global cooperation that is the driving force of Vaccine Maitri," the Foreign Minister said.
