Champions Trophy 2017: Pakistan practice on artificial surface to deal with Indian pace attack

New Delhi: Cricket powerhouse India seeks its second consecutive Champions Trophy title in four years as it tangles with Pakistan in what should be an entertaining final on June 18 at the Oval.

Both teams aim to prove their dominance in world cricket and are sweating out hard before the high-voltage encounter on Sunday.

India have a proven track record against the neighbors which makes them favourite in the contest but Sarfraz Ahmed’s men will try to avenge their loss to India in the tournament opener on June 4.

Though, Pakistan’s bowling attack has done much of the work in their journey to the finals, their batting so far has been sloppy and a big concern for the management. Indians, on the other hand have looked effective with the bat as well as bowl.

Preparations are in full swing in the Pakistani camp; their batsmen took help of surface built of concrete base and artificial grass to deal with Indian pace attack. Concrete bases help batsmen master the ability to react faster on quick deliveries.

India and Pakistan face off for the first time in the final of an ICC event since the T20 World Cup in 2007, which saw India beat Pakistan.
