Cricketer Bhuvneshwar Kumar's Father Passes Away Due To Cancer; Raina Offers Condolences

New Delhi: Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar's father, Kiran Pal Singh, passed away at his Meerut residence on Thursday afternoon after battling liver infection since last eight months.

Singh is now survived by his wife Indresh Devi and son and daughter Bhuvneshwar and Rekha.

The news about cricketer's father's demise was shared by former batsman Suresh Raina on Twitter. “Very sorry to hear about your Father @BhuviOfficial! May his soul rest in peace. Heartfelt condolences to you & your family..Om Shanti,” Raina tweeted.

The 63-year-old, who was undergoing chemotherapy for cancer and also had liver ailments. 

According to reports, Singh was undergoing medical treatment at the All Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in New Delhi post a check-up with doctors in the UK. Singh was taken to hospital two weeks back in Meerut after his condition deteriorated.

Singh had retired as a sub-inspector in Uttar Pradesh police department.
