Bangladesh Defeat New Zealand In 1st T20 After Bowling Kiwis Out For 60

BAN Vs NZ: Bangladesh defeated the Kiwis by seven wickets with 5 overs to spare in the 1st T20I.

Bangladesh has announced itself for the T20 Cricket World Cup, it seems. They defeated New Zealand by 7 wickets in the first T20I. BD Tigers bowled Kiwis out for a tiny total of 60 runs. Three out of the top four NZ batsmen could not score more than the total of extras, which funnily accounted for just 2 runs.

Bangladesh had a great game with the ball. It was a collective effort from all Bangladeshi bowlers, viz., Nasum Ahmed, Shakib Al Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman, and Saifuddin.

On the other hand, New Zealand's top scorers were Latham and Henry Nicholls. Both of them scored 18 runs. Apart from that, other batsmen could not survive the onslaught from the Bangladeshi bowlers.

After coming into bat, Bangladesh chased down the score in 15 overs with Shakib al Hasan being the top scorer for Bangladesh.

Bangladesh is on a superb winning run. They recently defeated Australia 4-1 in a T20I series and also whitewashed Zimbabwe in ODIs and T20Is.

With the T20 World Cup just around the corner, the WTC Champs New Zealand would look at making some changes in their T20I side.
