Badrinath handed one-match suspension for slow-over rate in TNPL

New Delhi: Tamil Nadu Premier League franchise Karaikudi Kaalai’s skipper Subramaniam Badrinath has been charged for slower rate during his sides eliminator match against Lyca Kovai Kings and will face one-match suspension.


Although, Badrinath’s suspension won’t make any difference now as Karaikudi Kaalai lost the encounter by 4 wickets and have been ruled out of the tournament. His ban will remain active and will be carried forwad in the next edition of the Tamil Nadu premier League


This is the third time Karaikudi Kaalai has been charged for slow-over rate this season. The Badrinath lead side was earlier fined for same offence during the league stages. By repeating the offence for the third time, the 36-year-old skipper was charged with 100% match fees while; players have been fined with 50 % of the match fees.
