The Pakistan batsman got off to a brilliant start by smashing Adam Zampa down the ground for a brilliant four, on his second ball of the innings.

However, during his face-off with Australia skipper Pat Cummins, things got really interesting, as on the 5th ball of the 19th over, Kamran Ghulam made a solid defence and followed that up with a ‘Steve Smith-esque No Run’, to which Pat Cummins replied with a cheeky smile.

The following delivery saw the debutant get out on a spicy bouncer and thus, became a subject to mockery. Upon his dismissal, the Australian players celebrated and the Pakistan batter himself carried a smile on his face while making way back to the pavilion.

Mitchell Starcs Comments On Australia's Bowling Efforts In First Innings

Pakistan are bundled out for 203 in 46.4 overs, thanks to a vital cameo from bowler Naseem Shah, who scored an entertaining 40 off 39. The hosts now need 204 to win and take a 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series.

"Yeah, I probably think that we could have kept them to a lower score to be honest but we will take that at the end. Yeah, I think this has been a feature about us as a group to play as a unit and break the batting order of the opponents. Obviously we have an eye on the Champions Trophy too but we have a big summer coming up. Yeah, it was just cramps (laughs) and I am fine. Had a couple of Shield games too before this fixture but I am absolutely fine," said Mitchell Starc, during the mid-innings break.
