'Fame & Power Changed Him': Amit Mishra Makes Explosive Remarks About Virat Kohli, Clips Go Viral On Social Media- WATCH

Amit Mishra highlighted the change in the nature of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma and said that the former does not have too many friends within Team India for a reason.

Amit Mishra has made a series of explosive remarks about star India batter Virat Kohli in a recent interview. The clips from the interview have gone viral on social media in which Mishra can be seen sharing his opinion on Kohli. He also compared the difference in the way Kohli and Rohit Sharma behave.

The leg-spinner reckons that Kohli does not have too many friends within the Indian team for a reason. He feels that "fame and power" have changed the star batter which is not the case with Rohit. Mishra said that Rohit has remained the same, someone with whom he can talk and joke in the same manner as he used to before the India's T20 World Cup-winning captain became as successful as he is today.

Mishra made the claims on YouTuber Shubhankar Mishra's show 'Unplugged'. Mishra even said that Rohit as fit as one can be in the modern-day game, referring to his three ODI double hundreds which stands as a testimony of his match-fitness.

"As a cricketer, I respect him a lot, but I don't share the same equation with him as I used to," Mishra said on the show.

"Why does Virat have less friends? His and Rohit's natures are different," he added.

"I haven't been part of the Indian team in years. Still when I meet Rohit during the IPL or any other event, he is always joking with me. I don't need to think what he will think," Mishra continued.

Have Seen Virat Kohli Change A Lot: Amit Mishra

It was here that the host Shubhankar was tempted to ask whether Kohli had changed and Mishra responded that he indeed was a different person now.

"I have seen Virat change a lot. We had almost stopped talking. When you get fame and power, some people think that others are reaching out to them only for a purpose," Mishra said.

Mishra then referred to an old Yuvraj Singh statement where Yuvi says that he used to be friends with Cheeku (Kohli's nickname) but not the star batter Virat Kohli.

"I have known Cheeku since the time he was 14, when he used to eat samosas, when he needed pizza every night. But there is a huge difference in the Cheeku I knew and Virat Kohli, the captain," said Mishra.
