Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham: Two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu defeated 2014 Glasgow Games gold medalist Michelle Li of Canada in straight sets to win her maiden Commonwealth Games Gold medal on Monday. Sindhu had won a silver in Gold Coast after losing against star Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal in the final.
Gold medalists Sharath Kamal (Table Tennis) and Nikhat Zareen (boxing) will be the flag bearers for India in the Commonwealth Games 2022 closing ceremony.
