In an appalling incident, two Naval officers participating in an operational demonstration fell into water when their parachutes got entangled during descent. A report from NDTV stated that the incident happened on January 2.

As per the details, the officers had a close shave while they were participating in an operational demonstration rehearsal of Eastern Naval Command at the Rama Krishna Breach in Andhra Pradesh's Visakhapatnam. Fortunately, the officers did not get injured and reached the shore safely.

A video showed that their parachutes got entangled with one naval officer descending with the national flag and another officer's parachute getting stuck. The two officers, who quickly lost height, couldn't control the fall and drop down into the water close to the shore.

However, a navy boat, which was present near the spot of incident where the two officers fell, quickly rescued them to safety.

Several people were present at the Rama Krishna beach to see the rehearsal. The event is scheduled for January 4, where Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will be the chief guest. As reported by News18, the event will be hosted by Vice Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command.

The Operational Demonstration will showcase the Indian Navy's cutting-edge capabilities through an exciting and neatly choreographed set of activities, including demonstrations by Warships, Submarines, Aircraft, Naval Band and the Marine Commandos (MARCOS).

According to an official statement, the demonstration reflects the Eastern Naval Command’s commitment to fostering a strong bond with the people of Andhra Pradesh and demonstrating the Indian Navy’s unwavering readiness to safeguard the nation’s maritime interests.
