Chirag Shetty-Satwiksairaj Rankireddy Stun World No. 1 Pair To Claim Korea Open Title

Chirag Shetty-Satwiksairaj Rankireddy stunned Indonesian top seeds Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto in Korea Open final.

In the thrilling finale of the Korea Open Super 500 badminton tournament, the star Indian duo consisting of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty showcased their brilliance with a remarkable victory over Indonesian top seeds Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto. Despite being a game down, the Indian pair displayed remarkable resilience, bouncing back strongly to secure a memorable 17-21, 21-13, 21-14 triumph in the men's doubles final.

Their journey to the final was equally impressive as they defeated the world number two Chinese pair of Liang Wei Keng and Wang Chang in a thrilling straight-game win. This latest victory adds yet another title to their already impressive list of achievements.

Meanwhile, India's Union Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Anurag Thakur was one of the earliest to congratulate the winning shuttler duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty. He highlighted that their latest win completed a hat-trick of titles for them.
