  • 9 Tablespoon Milk Powder
  • 3.5 Cup All Purpose Flour
  • 0.5 Tablespoon Semolina
  • 2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 2 Tablespoon Curd
  • 2 Tablespoon Milk
  • 0.5 Teaspoon Gulkand
  • 1 Teaspoon Pistachios, chopped
  • 250 Gram Sugar
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 2 Piece Cardamom Pods, crushed
  • 1 Tablespoon Rose water
  • Ghee

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Combine milk powder, all-purpose flour, semolina, baking soda, curd, and milk in a large mixing bowl. Blend thoroughly to form a uniform mixture.

Step 2

Knead the mixture into a soft dough, then divide it into equal portions and shape them into smooth, crack-free balls. Cover them to prevent drying out.

Step 3

Heat ghee in a kadai and test the temperature by dropping a small piece of dough into the hot ghee. Ensure the ghee is medium-hot before frying.

Step 4

Fry the gulab jamun balls on medium heat, ensuring the ghee is not overheated to avoid browning the exterior while leaving the inside uncooked.

Step 5

Cook the balls until they turn light golden brown, gently stirring to ensure even cooking on all sides.

Step 6

Immerse the fried gulab jamuns in warm sugar syrup and let them soak for 15-20 minutes before serving.

Step 7

For Sugar Syrup: In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, cardamom pods, and rose water. Stir the mixture on medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the syrup slightly thickens.

Step 8

Make sure the syrup remains warm while adding the fried gulab jamuns.
