  • 2 Piece Ripe Tomato
  • 1 Piece Onion (Finely Chopped)
  • 1 Tablespoon Tamarind Paste
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1.5 Teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1.5 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 2 Tablespoon Rasam Powder
  • 2 Cup Water
  • 2 Tablespoon Ghee Or Oil
  • 2 Piece Dried Red Chilli
  • Cilantro (Finely Chopped)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Prepare The Base: In a saucepan, add chopped tomatoes and cook them until they soften. Mash them lightly for a smoother texture.

Cook The Tamarind: In a bowl, dissolve the tamarind paste in water. Add this to the cooked tomatoes and bring to a boil.

Add Spices: Stir in turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and rasam powder. Let it simmer for about 5-10 minutes to let the flavours mix.
