Siraj's father Mohammed Ghaus passed away on 20 November. A week before Siraj's father died, the Indian team had reached Australia and unfortunately Siraj could not return home for his father's funeral due to Coronavirus protocols. Siraj was the pick of the Indian bowlers as he took the maximum 13 wickets for India in the Test series against Australia. However, Siraj's father passed away before he could watch his son play for the Indian cricket team against heavyweights Australia. Mohammed Siraj, after staying in Hyderabad for a week, will go to Chennai on 27 January. The first two Test matches of the four-Test series between India and England will be played in Chennai. Siraj has been included in India's 18-man squad for the first two Tests against England. He along with Jasprit Bumrah and Ishant Sharma will lead the Indian pace bowling attack.
