In Pics | Vinoo Mankad Inducted Into ICC Hall Of Fame Ahead Of Ind vs NZ WTC Final

The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Sunday inducted ten icons of the game, including India's Vinoo Mankad, into its 'Hall of Fame'. Two players each from five eras have been included in this list, since the beginning of cricket. Vinoo Mankad had run out Bill Brown during India's tour of Australia in 1947-48 when the Aussie batsman got out of the crease at the non-striker's end despite repeated warnings. After this the media termed it as 'Mankading'.  Photo Courtesy: Getty Images 

Aubrey Faulkner of South Africa, Australia's Monty Noble, West Indies' Sir Leary Constantine, Australia's Stan McCabe, England's Ted Dexter and India's Vinoo Mankad have been named in the list of players for greatest contributions to cricket till 1918.  Photo Courtesy: @ICC / Twitter

Vinoo Mankad played one his most memorable matches against England at Lord's in 1952. Apart from bowling 97 overs in this match, the legend also played innings of 72 and 184 runs.  Vinoo Mankadis one of only three cricketers to bat at all positions during his Test career.
