Afridi achieved the feat in 51 matches, surpassing the record of Saqlain Mushtaq, who took 53 matches.

Pakistan speedster Shaheen Shah Afridi became the fastest Pakistan bowler to pick 100 ODI wickets during the ICC World Cup 2023 match against Bangladesh at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Tuesday. (Getty)

Shaheen also became the quickest speedster to reach the feat, breaching the record of Mitchell Starc, who had reached the record back in August 2016. (Getty)
