Lynn to miss start of Australian summer

Lynn was named as Man of the tournament for his superb batting performance in the previous edition of Big Bash League.

Explosive batsman Chris Lynn will miss the start of Australian summer for the fourth time in a row.

Lynn decided to undergo surgery to treat his troublesome shoulder.

The 27-year-old cricketer suffered injury during his stint with Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League in April.

The Aussie will also miss the Caribbean Premier League, which begins next month.

However, he is expected to return to action during Big Bash League, which will be played in December this year.
