India defeated Bangladesh by 280 runs in the first IND vs BAN Test of the series at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai and have moved closer to securing yet another Test series win at home. India's dominant home run, which began over a decade ago, has continued since their last series defeat in 2012, when England won 2-1 in a four-match series in India. Notably, with the win over Bangladesh, India have also achieved an impressive feat in their long Test-playing history of cricket.
