The IPL spot fixing controversy brought down the credibility of the tournament massively. In 2013, S Sreesanth, Ajit Chandela and Ankit Chavan were arrested for match fixing by the Delhi police. This controversy also highlighted the involvement of CSK owner Gurunath Meiyappan and RR owner raj Kundra.
