Chief Ministers of different states paid tribute to the second Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, whose birth anniversary coincides with that of the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi.

Lal Bahadur Shastri was born on October 2, 1904, at Mughalsarai, a small railway town just over 10 km from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. He was the second Prime Minister of India and a leader of the Indian National Congress. (Photo: PTI)
