Popular Bollywood and South R Madhavan, who is known for his acting prowess, turned a year older on Tuesday (June 1). R Madhavan met his wife Sarita Birje while teaching communication and public speaking at a workshop in Maharashtra. Guess what? She reportedly attended his class after her cousins recommended her to do so.

Madhavan and Sarita, who have completed over 20 years of marriage, started dating after the latter completed her course. The couple tied the knot in November, before the ‘3 Idiots’ actor entered the film industry. 

Sarita Birje has worked as a costume designer in Madhavan's movies including ‘Guru En Aalu’. If reports are to be believed, she was the one who asked the actor for a date.

Madhavan called his wife Sarita 'the biggest blessing in his life' while sharing a romantic post for her on Valentine's Day.
