After impressing fans and critics with her power-packed performance in the Gangubai Kathiawadi teaser which released on the occasion of director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's birthday on Wednesday, the actress joined the filmamker at his residence in the evening to be a part of his birthday celebrations.

Before celebrating the birthday, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Alia were seen striking a pose for the shutterbugs outside the venue where Alia was seen recreating her ‘Gangubai’ pose for the media.

Alia greeted the paparazzi in her onscreen character Gangubai Kathiawadi style.

Just like her character, who is mostly seen dressed in white saris in the teaser, Alia too stepped out in a white, one-shoulder top and trousers in the evening

She was seen enjoying all the praise coming her way from the photographers.

The much-awaited teaser of the film was unveiled on SLB’s birthday and fans have been praising Alia’s performance.

‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ is all set to release in theatres on July 30.
