Water levels in Delhi’s Yamuna River have crossed the danger mark. At 1 PM on Monday, the water level of the river was recorded at 204.63 m. Over 1,90,837 cusecs of water were released from the Hathinikund barrage into Yamuna. (Source: ANI)

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held a review meeting on rising Yamuna water levels and said a flood-like situation is unlikely in Delhi. He added rising level is expected to reach 205.5 meters tomorrow morning. According to weather predictions, the water level in Yamuna is not expected to rise too high. The government will start evacuation along the banks of the river after the Yamuna water level crosses the 206-meter mark. (Source: ANI)

During the day, Delhi Education and PWD Minister Atishi on Monday visited the Yamuna river site and inspected the water level after heavy monsoon rains lashed the national capital. (Source: PTI)

While taking stock of the Yamuna river situation, Atishi said officials on more than 50 motorboats have been deployed for rescue work. Preparations are on to evacuate 40,000 people from Yamuna Khadar. (Source: PTI)

She said every District Magistrate has been instructed to be on alert and all the teams are ready. She also added arrangements are already being made for the stay and food of people in Khadar areas.
