Chennai Train Accident: 12 Coaches Of Passenger Rail Derails, 19 injured; No Fatalities — PICS

An express train traveling at 75 km/h collided with a stationary goods train in Tamil Nadu after it entered a loop line instead of staying on the main line on Friday.

The accident occurred after Train No. 12578 Mysuru-Darbhanga Bagmati Express, equipped with LHB coaches, passed through Ponneri station in Tiruvallur district at 8:27 p.m. on October 11.
