Mary Lee, who works as a meteorologist at CBS San Francisco Bay Area, was in for a surprise when her boyfriend proposed to her on live TV. The video which shows her tearing up, has gone viral.
New Delhi: Mary Lee is a meteorologist and works at CBS San Francisco Bay Area. She was shooting a segment about Northern Lights on Valentine’s Day and was live on TV. She, however, did not know that she was in for a big surprise. Her boyfriend had planned a secret proposal for her.
In the video which is doing rounds on the internet, Lee is seen taping at the KPIX 5 studio when her boyfriend’s daughters Mirium and Madi arrive on set with roses for her. Then her boyfriend, Ajit Ninan also joined them and she was happy thinking it was a family visit. But to her surprise, Ninan had something else in mind. He sat down on one knee, took out a ring and asked Lee the question on-camera. This footage is now viral.
While asking the question, Ninan said, “Mary, you are my Northern Lights. You are spectacular and beautiful. The girls adore you and I love you. I want you to be a part of my life. Will you be my forever girl and will you marry me?”

Hearing this Lee went speechless and felt so emotional that she teared up. It was all the more special for Lee as she always wanted to get engaged in front of the Northern Lights.
Lee later revealed that her whole office team at CBS San Francisco Bay Area was involved in pulling it off. She said, "They called it 'Operation Marry Mary!" She further added, “It was so unexpected and I honestly did not know if it would ever happen. It is so crazy, because all of you were dropping hints and I totally didn't get it. I did not see it coming from a mile away,” as reported by NDTV.
The video has received thousands of views on Twitter, where many users congratulated the couple.
