An Islamabad court on Thursday said that it would halt attempts to arrest former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case if he surrenders himself before the authorities, reported Pakistan’s Geo TV. The hearing was presided by Additional District and Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal where Khan’s counsel presented the court with two options, either suspend the issued warrants or issue bailable arrest warrants.
The remark by the judge was made while hearing a reference made by Election Commission of Pakistan seeking criminal proceedings against Khan for concealing details of the Toshakhana gifts

The Imran Khan-led party was planning to hold a “historic” public rally at the Minar e Pakistan on March 19 with the PTI chief set to lead despite “security threats”.
The Islamabad High Court on Tuesday had suspended till March 13, the non-bailable arrest warrants issued against Khan by a district and sessions court in the Toshakhana case.
On Thursday, a video of Khan surfaced where he was seen wearing a gas mask while apparently meeting his supporters as authorities in Lahore's Zaman Park on Wednesday stepped up their efforts to arrest him in a corruption case.
In a video shared by cricketer Shaharyar Ejaz, Imran Khan was seen wearing a gas mask. "Captain leading from the Front," he tweeted.

The video came amid allegations by the PTI chief that the attempt to arrest him was "mere drama" because "the real intent is to abduct and assassinate."
Lahore’s Zaman Park area has turned into a battlefield after 70-year-old Khan's defiant supporters engaged in pitched battles with policemen on Tuesday to stop them from arresting their leader in the Toshakhana case, resulting in injuries on both sides.
