It was taken off from President’s Twitter feed. It now reads, “This media has been disabled in response to a report by the copyright owner.” Trump had retweeted the video from White House social media director Dan Scavino. It was removed by Twitter after it received a Digital Millennium Copyright Act notice from Machine Shop Entertainment. A notice in this regard was posted on the Lumen Database which collects requests for removal of online materials. Also Read: Twitter Mega Hack: 4 Young Hackers Carried Out The Massive Bitcoin Scam? "We respond to valid copyright complaints sent to us by a copyright owner or their authorized representatives," a Twitter representative said in an email statement. The feud between the social media and the president raged in the month of May, after Twitter put a fact check warning to Trump’s tweet about the mail-in election process. Several US states such as Michigan and Nevada are considering a ‘mail-in’ voting system or postal voting to avoid mass gatherings during the election and avoid the spread of the virus. In this method ballots are distributed to electors and it is returned via post. The person does not have to be present in person for the election. The registered voters in these states have the right to mail-in voting and Trump legally cannot interfere in the state’s decision. He even threatened to stop federal funding to the state of Michigan if they go ahead with the mail-in voting. Trump had criticised the method of voting in a series of tweets. Soon after Twitter put the labels, Trump lashed out and said that the microblogging site was interfering in the Presidential election 2020 and ‘stifling free speech.’ Also Read | Kuwait: Why lakhs of Indians are in danger?
