Pakistan as a nation will be completely changed under Imran Khan: Waqar Younis

He denied on having political discussions with the newly elected Prime Minister saying, "No, no we hardly talk politics when we meet. He is like a father figure to me and I went all the way from Australia to meet and congratulate him. I was excited to meet him".

New Delhi: Former Pakistani cricketer Waqar Younis has shown great faith in newly elected Prime Minister Imran Khan and has claimed that Pakistan would change under his leadership. “I think Pakistan as a nation will be changed completely in 5 years time under Imran Khan's leadership he said. The former Pakistan cricketer and coach are presently in Dubai to work for the host broadcaster in an exclusive to ABP News said,"I met him 3 times in last couple of months and twice after he became the Prime Minister of the nation", Waqar said. He denied on having political discussions with the newly elected Prime Minister saying, "No, no we hardly talk politics when we meet. He is like a father figure to me and I went all the way from Australia to meet and congratulate him. I was excited to meet him". He further said, "See, he is a great man and there are wise people around him to work. Imran spent 23 years in this. I mean the politics of the country and finally God has given him the opportunity. He is willing, and doesn't carry any baggage”. “He is transparent and that is most important. 23 years back nobody gave him a chance in politics. He does things which are unexpected. He can create magic. I am confident; at this level he will be successful" he added. "He is got to show the nation the path .The road map I mean and Imran's road map is clear in my opinion", the fast bowling legend looked ecstatic when he was talking about the Pakistan Prime Minister. Speaking on India - Pakistan bilateral cricket series, he said “It’s time to move on. We shouldn't be rigid. We should be playing more matches and I think Immy will work on this. After all people is hungry to see India and Pakistan playing against each other”.
