Biden's Twin Gaffes: US Prez Confuses Zelenskyy With Putin, Calls Kamala Harris 'Vice President Trump'
Joe Biden made two gaffes when he referred to Ukrainian President Zelenskyy as Vladimir Putin and confused his deputy Kamala Harris with Donald Trump.
In another gaffe, United States President Joe Biden mistakenly called his deputy Kamala Harris 'Vice-President Trump' on Thursday. The latest gaffe occurred during a press conference following the NATO summit. He said, “I wouldn't have picked Trump to be the vice president, did I think she was not qualified to be president….”
“The fact is that the consideration is that I think I'm the most qualified person to run for president. I beat him once, and I will beat him again.”
This came shortly after the 81-year-old confused Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Biden said on Thursday that his deputy, Vice President Kamala Harris, is “qualified” to lead the county. At a press conference, the US President said, “From the very beginning, I made no bones about that. She is qualified to be the president. That's why I picked her.”
When asked about the reasons for this, he said, “Firstly because of the way she's handled the issue of freedom of women's bodies, to have control of their bodies, and secondly, her ability to handle almost any issue on the board.”
“This was a hell of a prosecutor. She was a first-rate person and in the Senate, she was really good. I wouldn't have picked her unless I thought she was qualified to be the president,” Biden added.

Earlier, the US president introduced Zelensky as Putin at a NATO ceremony, however, he was quick to correct himself. “Now I want to hand it over to the president of Ukraine, who has as much courage as he has determination. Ladies and gentlemen, President Putin,” Biden said, as quoted by News 18. He quickly corrected himself, saying, “I’m so focused on beating President Putin, we’ve got to worry about it.”
During the press conference, Biden defended himself after calling Volodymyr Zelensky 'President Putin'. He said, "Did you see any damage to our stand in my leading this conference? Have you seen a more successful conference? What do you think? And the Putin piece, I was talking about Putin and I said, "and now at the very end, I said here, I mean Putin. I said, no, I'm sorry, Zelenskyy"".

"Then I added five other names. Look, guys, the idea anybody suggests that we haven't had an incredibly successful conference, how many times did you hear in that conference? I know it sounds too self-serving, but other leaders, and heads of state in thanking me, saying the reason we're together is because of Biden, because Biden did the following. It was the most successful conference I've attended in a long time and find me a world leader who didn't think it was," he added.
