New Delhi: Law enforcement officers who had been camped outside the home of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan have begun to withdraw, but celebrations were in full swing Wednesday afternoon in Lahore's Zaman Park neighborhood, reported Geo News. The Lahore High Court halted police activity at Zaman Park until 10 a.m. tomorrow, hours after a day-long escalation between PTI supporters and law enforcement agencies, reported Pakistan's Dawn News.
"Police will not advance on Khan's residence until the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 8 cricket match is over," sources quoted police officials as saying.
After that, there were celebrations at Zaman Park, with PTI supporters cheering "chasing the Rangers away."

The authorities began their second day of a violent standoff with PTI supporters early Wednesday morning by attempting to arrest party chairman Imran Khan near his Zaman Park residence.
After Imran Khan missed several court dates due to security concerns, police from Islamabad were sent to his home in Lahore for the second time in recent weeks to serve an arrest warrant.
Wednesday afternoon, PTI shared images of jubilant PTI supporters celebrating outside Zaman Park.

A large number of Punjab Rangers showed up at the former prime minister's Zaman Park residence earlier today to carry out court orders after the police failed to apprehend PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
According to Geo News, the police and park rangers reached the PTI leader's residence in Zaman Park. The development occurred after police used tear gas to disperse PTI workers in the area.
However, they withdrew, and sources claim that the police retreated as a result of today's PSL match. Up to this point, the police have arrested 10 PTI workers from the area.
No less than 54 police and eight residents have been injured in the clashes that have been ongoing yesterday, hospital sources told Geo News.
