A day after former Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan's arrest sparked nationwide protests, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief today appeared in a special court at the police headquarters in the capital city of Islamabad to answer graft charges as his supporters called for a protest. Army has been deployed in Pakistan’s Punjab to maintain law and order.

One each has been killed in Lahore, Faisalabad, Quetta, and Swat," senior PTI leader Shireen Mazari said.
