Germany Tells Residents To Stay Indoors As 'Deadly' Winter Takes Temperature To Record Low In Northern Europe
The sudden onset of winter in parts of Germany has led to several accidents and people being trapped in their vehicles due to slippery roads and fallen branches caused by snowfall.
New Delhi: Following a surge in winter weather conditions, authorities in western Germany on Tuesday advised residents to remain indoors. They warned the public of life-threatening risks posed by dangerous roads, which resulted in two fatalities, reported Reuters.
The sudden onset of winter in parts of Germany has led to several accidents and people being trapped in their vehicles due to slippery roads and fallen branches caused by snowfall.
"My urgent appeal: Be sure to stay at home on Tuesday. Please do not go for walks in the forest either: there is an acute danger to life from broken branches and falling trees," said the district's administrator in a statement.
