Their daughter was reportedly born hours before the opening ceremony of the games in the co-host city Palembang.

New Delhi: Believe it or not, but a husband and wife in Indonesia, both of them fanatic sports lovers, have named their new-born baby “Asian Games” Their daughter was born about a month early, just hours before the opening ceremony of the games in the co-host city Palembang, AFP reported. The little girl’s full name is Abidah Asian Games. The parents reportedly had a first name for her, but didn’t have a last name. So they chose to name their new one after the world’s second biggest multi-sport event. They were quoted by the agency saying that it wasn’t a usual event for the city of Palembang to host such an event. As per reports, the residents of Palembang are extremely happy about the event taking place in their city and about being in the international spotlight. The sports crazy couple reportedly said that they would support and motivate her to pursue a career in sports, if their daughter has the talent and motivation. They also added that they would not mind if Abidah Asian Games would want to change her name in future in case she does not develop the same taste for the regional Olympic event .
