BIZARRE: 'Is that a headband'? Netizens left amazed by this grey-black rattlesnake
New Delhi: An image of a bizarre greyscale rattlesnake is going viral on Facebook.
Wyler Aerial Tramway Texas Parks and Wildlife activists shared its image on the social media and since then the picture has received more than 3000 reactions and more than 7 thousand shares.
The black and grey rattlesnake has striking unusual appearance and at the first glimpse it looks like everything else but a rattlesnake.
Those who saw the picture the first time thought that it is the effect of camera filters while some believe that the image was photoshopped.
Take a look:
A user commented : “Oh my gosh!!! He's gorgeous!!!”. "It looks like a beautiful headband", commented other user.
Another commented with a picture of similar snake: “I saw one of these creature near my wall”.
The snake was found ‘cooling down’ by one of the doors at the park. The post explained that it is a Rock Rattlesnake that feeds on lizards, small birds, small mammals like mice and other snakes keeping the populations under control.
The snake is an off-white reptile with regular black bands. It was about two-feet long and found in El Paso, Texas.
It was advised in the post that if one sees a rattlesnake don't get scared just give it some space to move away and leave it alone.
A staffer from the park explained in comments that such snakes are quite common but since they blend well with surroundings, they aren't noticed too often. Rattlesnakes are venomous as well.
