WarnerMedia is launching a new streaming service called HBO Max which will take on players like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video & Disney Plus. The streaming service will have a mix of Warner Bros. classic shows and movies as well as original titles. According to an IANS report, it will include "the entire HBO service, together with beloved franchises, titles past and present from Warner Bros., the best of the best from around the world," the company said in a statement as recorded by IANS. This will amount to an impressive direct-to-consumer experience with 10,000 hours of premium content exclusively on HBO Max. The makers believe that the content will justify its $14.99/month (Rs 1147) subscription charge whereas both Disney+ and Apple TV+ charging under $10 per month. However, it is expected to be free to most subscribers of AT&T phone and TV services, including DirecTV.
" TV shows and films will be added from CNN, TNT, TBS, The CW, TCM, Adult Swim, and more, with series like "The Big Bang Theory" and "South Park" included. The original content will include "Toyko Vice" with Ansel Elgort, a "Grease" spinoff, and a sequel to "Gossip Girl." "

At launch, a handful of original shows will be available, on top of all the content already available on HBO Go/Now (Westworld, Game of Thrones), Boomerang (Looney Toons, Scooby Doo), and DC Universe (Titans, Doom Patrol). TV shows and films will be added from CNN, TNT, TBS, The CW, TCM, Adult Swim, and more, with series like "The Big Bang Theory" and "South Park" included. The original content will include "Toyko Vice" with Ansel Elgort, a "Grease" spinoff, and a sequel to "Gossip Girl." According to some reports, as production has shut down around the world in every studio and network working on new series, older and original WarnerMedia titles which are sitting in the company’s impressive archive will add to HBO Max’s advantage during the launch.
