Ukraine Invasion: Russia Moves To Encircle Kharkiv, Kyiv & Mariupol. 1,500 Children Killed So Far
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Russian forces are besieging major cities which would go down in history for what he said were war crimes committed by Russian troops.
New Delhi: The Ministry of Defense of the UK on Sunday said that Russian forces are continuing to encircle a number of cities across eastern Ukraine as the war between the two-nation rages.
"Russian forces are continuing to encircle a number of cities across eastern Ukraine... Russia has increased its indiscriminate shelling of urban areas resulting in widespread destruction and large numbers of civilian casualties," said the ministry.
(4/4) It is likely Russia will continue to use its heavy firepower to support assaults on urban areas as it looks to limit its own already considerable losses, at the cost of further civilian casualties.
