Mumbai: Massive Fire In Multi-Storeyed Residential Building, No Casualties Reported

A major fire broke out in a residential building in NG Royal Park housing complex located in Kanjurmarg area of Mumbai on Monday afternoon. 

New Delhi: A major fire broke out in a residential building in NG Royal Park housing complex located in Kanjurmarg area of Mumbai on Monday afternoon. 

Fire fighting operations are underway at the residential building where the mishap occurred, the Press Trust of India (PTI) reported. A fire official said that there was no report of any casualty so far.

According to a PTI report, the fire broke out in the B-wing of the NG Royal Park building. “It was a ‘level-2’ (major) fire and was confined to the 9th and 10th floors of the building,” the official was quoted as saying in the report. 

At 1:17 pm, the fire brigade got a call about the blaze. The official said that after this, six fire engines, four jumbo tankers, two water tankers, ambulance and other assistance were rushed to the spot, according to the report.

A video of the incident was posted on Twitter by news agency ANI.

The official said that efforts were underway to douse the flames.
