'You Cremated UPA In Bengaluru And Celebrated Painting Its Ruins': PM Modi's Jibe At INDIA Bloc. WATCH

Taking a dig at the opposition's I.N.D.I.A. coalition, PM Modi stated that they even shattered India's name and cremated the UPA in Bengaluru.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday took a jibe at opposition over renaming of United Progressive Alliance to Indian National Democratic Inclusive Alliance in Bengaluru where the meeting of 26 opposition parties was held last month. He said: "I want to express my sympathy with the opposition because a few days ago you performed the last rites of UPA in Bengaluru," news agency ANI reported.

Hitting out at opposition, PM Modi stated: "I don't regret the delay because you were cremating UPA but at the same time putting paint on Khandar and celebrating it. I want to tell the opposition that you are following those who even after so many generations are not able to differentiate between Lal mirch and Hari mirch."

Meanwhile, in another attack on the I.N.D.I.A alliance, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the no-confidence motion was a floor test of the Opposition and said BJP would secure a majority in the 2024 Lok Sabha election. Replying to the debate on the no-confidence motion moved by Congress, PM Modi said, "I had said during the no-confidence motion in 2018 that it was not a floor test for us but a floor test for them and as a result they lost in the elections."

"In a way, Opposition's no-confidence has always been lucky for us. Today, I can see that you (Opposition) have decided that NDA and BJP will come back in 2024 elections with a grand victory, breaking all previous records, with the blessings of the people," the PM further said.

On the other hand, massive sloganeering was witnessed in Lok Sabha today by the Opposition parties as Prime Minister Narendra Modi was replying to the no-confidence motion moved against his government by the Opposition INDIA bloc.
