You Conspired With Sachin Pilot To Topple Government: Rajasthan CM Gehlot Pulls Up Union Minister

New Delhi: Launching a scathing attack on Gajendra Singh Shekhawat after he was served a court notice by the Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in an alleged case of horse-trading, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has alleged that the Union Minister along with Congress leader Sachin Pilot tried to dislodge his government two years ago.
“ACB notice (in alleged 2020 horse-trading case) served to him late...You were the main character in toppling the government and now you say Sachin Pilot made a mistake,” ANI quoted Gehlot as saying.
“You have proven that you conspired with him,” he added.
The Chief Minister’s remarks come after the Union Minister at a meeting in Chomu town of Jaipur said that if Pilot had not missed the chance to change the government in the state then water would have come through the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project.
The ACB notice has been served to the Union Minister in an alleged case of horse-trading relating to the allegations of a conspiracy to pull down Gehlot’s government in 2020.
A court in Jaipur issued the notice after the ACB filed a revision petition seeking Shekhawat’s voice samples.
Shekhawat, as per sources, has been asked to file his reply by July 14.
Amid a rebellion led by Pilot in 2020, three audio clips had emerged online in which some rebel Congress leaders appeared to be in conversation with a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader during which they discussed bribes to topple the Rajasthan government.
