After tussle with WB govt over denial of permission to land chopper, Yogi to address rally in Purulia today

As per sources, Yogi’s chopper will be landing in Jharkhand and the CM would thereafter cover the remaining distance by road.

Kolkata: A day after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was denied permission by West Bengal government for landing his helicopter in Bankura, which was scheduled for Tuesday, UP CM is set to address a rally in Purulia on Tuesday. As per sources, Yogi’s chopper will be landing in Jharkhand and the CM would thereafter cover the remaining distance by road. As per UP government, district administration was "dilly-dallying" on giving permission for the landing of his helicopter. "We have decided to cancel the Bankura rally of Yogi Adityanath as the district administration is dilly-dallying on giving permission for the landing of his chopper. We didn't want to take any risk and so we cancelled it," West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh said. The tussle between the TMC and the BJP became uglier Sunday with the West Bengal government denying permission to the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister's chopper to land in the state and let him address two scheduled rallies in north Bengal. Adityanath had to address the rallies in Raigunj and Balurghat via telephone. He lashed out at the "anti-people" Trinamool Congress (TMC) government in the state, saying the days of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's rule were "numbered". Soon after the incident, CBI officials went to Kolkata to question state Police Commissioner in his alleged involvement in Saradha scam, leading to Kolkata police arrest the officials, which escalated the matter to the point that it reached the apex court the very next day. Even West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is sitting on a dharna ever since, which has made BJP question her alleged involvement in the case
