VIDEO: Pulwama martyr’s wife shares last video sent by husband before attack on CRPF bus
The video, shot on 14 February, shows snow covered Jammu Srinagar national highway through which the CRPF convoy was passing.
NEW DELHI: Days after one of the deadliest terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir when a Jaish suicide bomber rammed a vehicle carrying over 100 kg of explosives into their bus in Pulwama district, a martyr’s wife shared a video made by CRPF braveheart before the attack. It is reported that the slain CRPF jawan Sukhjinder Singh, belonging to 76 Battalion from Taran Taran had sent the video to his wife just minutes after boarding the ill-fated CRPF bus.
The video, shot on 14 February, shows snow covered Jammu Srinagar national highway through which the CRPF convoy was passing. Singh, among the 40 CRPF personnel who were killed in the attack, can also be seen in the video. He was part of the 2,500-odd CRPF jawans who were to travel to their bases in 78 buses.
Many of Central Reserve Police Force personnel were returning from leave to rejoin duty in the Valley, were travelling in the convoy of 78 vehicles when they were ambushed on the Srinagar-Jammu highway at Latoomode in Awantipora in south Kashmir around 3.15 pm.
The Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed terror group has claimed responsibility for the attack that took place about 20 km from Srinagar. Police identified the suicide bomber as Adil Ahmed, who officials said joined the Jaish in 2018.
