UP: Six dead as cylinder bursts to flames in Bijnor chemical factory, eight critically burnt
Police force team and fire tenders have reached the site of the accident and are trying to douse the fire and rescue those stranded inside the factory.
New Delhi: A cylinder burst into flames at a chemical factory in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor district on Wednesday morning.
Six workers have been confirmed dead so far by the officials, while eight workers of the factory have sustained critical burn injuries.
Three people are reported to be seriously injured.
Police force team has reached the site of the accident trying to rescue those stranded inside the factory and fire tenders are present to douse the fire.
Police have admitted those injured in hospital where they are undergoing emergency treatment.
As per reports a cylinder of methane gas burst early morning, setting the entire chemical factory ablaze. The incident took place at Nagina Road of City Kotwali station.
