UP And HP Gear Up To Curb Coronavirus Spread From Delhi And 3 Other States, Know The Fresh Guidelines

High-level teams of the Central Government were rushed to Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, and Himachal Pradesh to help the state governments tackle the Covid-19 situation.

Coronavirus in India: As the country is witnessing a rising trend in Coronavirus cases mostly in the national capital Delhi and Maharashtra, other states have started implementing strict measures to curb the spread of the pandemic. Fresh guidelines have been issued by the Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh government for travelers and people in the state. While Maharashtra has announced a mandatory Covid report for passengers entering the state these are the fresh guidelines by the UP and HP government. Uttar Pradesh guidelines

  • According to the advisory, now only 100 people will be allowed to attend the wedding.
  • Approval has been given to 50% capacity and a maximum of 100 people for marriage purposes.
  • The elderly and sick people have also been banned from the functions.
  • Government to take strict action against those who will be found breaking the rules.
  • The guests at the wedding will also have to follow the virus protocol, including face masks, physical distancing, sanitisation, and hand wash.
  • Uttar Pradesh will also conduct Covid-19 test on people coming in from Delhi by airplane, train, and bus as reported by ANI.

Himachal Pradesh guidelines

  • The HP govt has decided to keep all schools and colleges closed till December 31.
  • The Himachal Pradesh imposed a night curfew in four districts. The curfew will be in place from Tuesday to December 15 in Shimla, Mandi, Kangra, and Kullu districts from 8 pm to 6 am.
The Gujarat State Road Transportation Corporation has cancelled over 1,700 bus services due to curfew between 9pm and 6am in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, and Rajkot. GSRTC secretary KD Desai said the cancelled services comprise 450 from Ahmedabad, 378 from Rajkot, 531 from Vadodara, and 395 from Surat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold virtual meetings with chief ministers and other representatives of states and union territories on Tuesday to review the Covid-19 situation and discuss vaccine distribution strategy. Modi is expected to hold two back to back meetings, one with eight states with high caseloads and another with states and UTs to discuss vaccine distribution strategy, according to PTI.
