NEW DELHI: Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb continued his peculiar statements by saying doctors and civil engineers would be better suited for civil service positions. Tripura CM Biplab Deb claims Civil engineers should join civil services as they have experience to build society Biplab Kumar Deb (PIC/Twitter account/ File) As per reports, Deb who was at an event marking Civil Service Day in Agartala said  “If a civil engineer becomes an Indian Administrative Services Officer, s/he can add offer inputs in construction projects, mechanical engineers cannot,” He added “One should not opt for civil services after studying mechanical engineering. Civil engineers have the experience and knowledge to help build administration and society. Civil engineering gives that knowledge.” Previously, Biplab Kumar Deb had claimed that the international beauty pageants were a farce and questioned the rationale behind crowning Diana Hayden "Miss World" 21 years ago.
