Telangana Constable Brings Accident Victim Back To Life, Wins Hearts On Social Media
The incident took place at Karimnagar Housing Board Colony in Karimnagar city around 10:30 a.m. earlier on Tuesday while the constable named Khalil was on duty of traffic challans.
Karimnagar: A police constable in Telangana has won hearts on social media for his benevolent gesture after a video of him performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on an unconscious man went viral.
The incident took place at Karimnagar Housing Board Colony in Karimnagar city around 10:30 a.m. earlier on Tuesday while the constable named Khalil was on duty of traffic challans.
The victim named Afzal Khan got unconscious and lost his pulse after falling on the road after being hit by a man driving a scooty.
The constable on duty began giving first aid CPR to the victim from Bommakal village and his heart started beating again.
“I first checked the pulse rate. His heart started beating again with CPR. Then he started breathing. We got trained on CPR while our job training. In my opinion, it would be better to provide first aid or call 108,” the constable said.
The man driving the scooty was also injured.
Both were later shifted to the Karim Nagar Government Hospital where their health condition is said to be better.
